The ThermaCare Relaxation Zone 2013 was a place to chill out, enjoy a massage and recharge those batteries for more fun at the show!
At the show, visitors can enjoy a free massage and those who feel more indulgent can pay a small fee for a longer treatment. Either way they are in the hands of leading therapists delivering a peaceful and exhilarating experience.
Once again in 2013, the Massage Training Institute (MTI) welcomed visitors to enjoy a massage and bodywork. MTI therapists were available to talk about the benefits of massage and bodywork, for short, taster treatments, and for slightly longer sessions for delegates to appreciate the therapeutic effects of massage.

More about massage & MTI The evidence for the beneficial effects of touch, therapeutic contact and the physical manipulation of soft tissues - muscles, fascia and the effect on the nervous system - is growing in the treatment of back pain. The MTI massage therapist will not only be interested in the area of pain (when and how it started; the degree of pain; what aggravates it and what alleviates it; and what is happening to the surrounding muscles), they will want to know about your lifestyle (sports undertaken; nutrition; degree of stress or anxiety; the posture you assume for most of the day) in case there are any other factors involved in your back pain. Satisfied that they can work on you safely, the massage works to warm the muscle, relax the muscle fibres and with certain techniques, ease the muscle fibres apart and back to their normal mode of function.
